KUPO Optics provides hot mirrors / diffusion hot mirrors that can remove thermal energy from a light beam by reflecting IR-light while transmitting the cold visible light. With this feature, hot mirror is a great solution to protect the delicate components in optical system from heat-related damage.

Our hot mirrors are manufactured using thermally resistant (Up to 450℃) BOROFLOAT substrate glass and they can be placed between optic systems and heat-generating light sources such as halogen lamps of image projectors to prevent the deformation of optical glasses due to the accumulated heat load.

Alternatively, our hot mirrors can perform purely optical tasks such as blocking incoming IR-light from reaching digital camera chips to prevent optical saturation caused by the near-infrared light. Another exciting new application for our hot mirrors is as near-IR reflector for eye tracking under virtual and mixed or augmented reality (VR/AR) systems.

Glass Substrates

The glass substrates are the most fundamental and critical for making optical filters.
In order to ensure the quality, KUPO Optics uses optical grade glasses to produce perfect filters.

Heat Resistance: Up to 450℃

Borosilicate Glass (D263T)

Thickness: 0.21mm, 0.3mm, 0.55mm

Heat Resistance: Up to 450℃

Sodalime Glass

Thickness: 1.1mm, 2.0mm, 2.9mm

Heat Resistance: Up to 150℃

Sodalime Glass

Thickness: 0.7mm, 1.1mm

Heat Resistance: Up to 450℃
